About Me
My name is Lorene Haworth, and I am passionate about supporting you as you work towards your counselling goals.
I hold an FdA qualification in counselling and am a proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
My professional journey began in the emergency services, where I developed skills in dynamic risk assessment, anger management, conflict resolution, and personal safety. Often, I assisted individuals during times of crisis and profound change. These experiences deeply inform my approach to therapy, allowing me to offer practical understanding and resilient support.
I have previously provided counselling for Harbour (Durham), working with those affected by domestic and family abuse, as well as supporting students at Durham University and young people aged 11–15 at a Bishop Auckland school.
Thanks to this diverse background, I connect with people from all walks of life in a compassionate, confident, and non-judgemental manner. I am committed to offering empathy, honesty, and genuine care in every session.
